REWIRE YOUR BRAIN

When it feels overwhelming... help is available!
You recognize yourself in any of the following: restrained, low, lost, afraid, worried, frustrated, confused, unmotivated, sad, angry, powerless, stressed, disconnected from joy, security, contentment, harmony and love. You know you need help, but getting into therapy seems far away. Or you've already gone to therapy and done all the right things, but you're experiencing little or no improvement. You want a deeper and more lasting change to your problems.
When you don't get the changes you want despite therapy/coaching, it's often because traditional therapy/coaching focuses on the brain and works on the idea that the mindset causes the emotions, problems and unwanted behaviors. But many times it's not "all in your head" and it's not always that negative thought patterns are the cause of your problems. So while traditional talk therapy/coaching can be very helpful in some cases, insights and cognitive understanding alone are not always enough to heal old negative experiences. Often healing is needed at the root level.
Deep work, also called bottom-up processing, is an effective way to process and heal old negative experiences and emotional wounds that have left you stuck in certain types of thoughts, feelings, reactions and behaviors that are not so positive or helpful today. Please read further down the page about how I work and what bottom-up processing means.
Both hypnosis and EMDR are bottom-up processes that help you to access old programming and thus your whole way of thinking, feeling and acting in life. It helps you find understanding, healing, strength, security, better solutions and discover new possibilities in your life.
95% of who we are, our identity, is a set of unconscious thoughts, automatic programs, repetitive habits, emotional reactions and memorized behaviors. These routinely run programs affect us mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, chemically, biologically, genetically and they keep us stuck in the past. Accessing these programs yourself can be difficult. My specialty is accessing and helping you heal beliefs, emotions and energy patterns that are hiding deep down in your subconscious and have created negative programs that are currently running your life. I take a multidimensional approach to my work because everything is connected - mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Everything I do is tailored to your individual needs. And yes, there will be laughter, tears and a lot of aha-moments.
Using hypnosis, EMDR, trauma-informed coaching, energy work and practical coaching, we work together to remove the blockages that prevent you from feeling good in life and getting where you want to be. We help to let go of old limiting beliefs, change mental structures, gain clarity, heal emotions, see new possibilities, find the courage and drive to make changes and to follow the heart. I call it mind hacking.
UPGRADING YOUR OPERATIVE SYSTEM
Many are amazed at how often they can feel a shift in their well-being, after just one session. We work on one problem or goal at a time. A session with me is often equivalent to 10-15 sessions with a traditional therapist, sometimes more. If you want to make more substantial changes and create long-term results in your life, I recommend my mentorship.
Together we discover a new way for you to experience both yourself and the world, a way that allows you to feel more balanced, happier and more able to face life. Let's work together to make you more comfortable with being you, in a safe and assertive way.

HOW DO OUR PROGRAMS START?
Dr. Bruce Lipton explains how your programming starts and what hypnosis actually is.
HOW I WORK
Using hypnosis, EMDR, trauma-informed coaching, energy work and practical coaching, we can access old programming and thus your whole way of thinking, feeling and acting in life. Hypnosis slows down your brainwaves and helps you to enter the operating system, where emotionally conditioned and unwanted subconscious programs are stored. This is where we can get to the root of your problems and create new healthy programs to support you in life. Research shows that hypnosis dampens the neurological information in your thinking brain (prefrontal cortex) and the energy moves down into the limbic system, the seat of memories and old programming that controls your emotions, reactions and sensations in your body. EMDR is an effective method in trauma to safely reconnect with memories, images, thoughts, feelings and sensations, reduce the emotional charge of these negative memories and help the brain's processing system to sort and heal the events.
When difficult things happen
Sometimes when negative things happen and our system becomes overwhelmed, our brain and body become too flooded with impressions to process and organize the sensations, emotions and thoughts that arise in that situation. When this happens, the negative event can get "stuck" and our internal processing system can't put it into action. Symptoms of old negative events being stuck can be anger, impulsiveness, feeling completely shut down, emotional overwhelm, grinding thoughts, worry and anxiety, stress, insecurity, sadness, depression, being on guard and unable to relax, inability to concentrate....
The brain and body can hide beliefs, emotions and strategies so deeply that they are not accessible with a cognitive approach such as talk therapy/coaching. This is what I call old programming that is in the subconscious and that controls how you feel today, how you react to things and how you deal with life.
The bottom-up process
Bottom-up processing accesses the body and emotions to help move stuck material and to give the brain and body's natural processing systems a push. While traditional talk therapy/coaching is based on talk (top-down), we use hypnosis (bottom-up) and EMDR (bottom-up) to explore what happens in the emotions and the body when we explore the problem. Using not only logic and understanding, but also bringing the body and emotions into the session gives us a whole new world of information about how we hold on to past events. Consciously accessing the emotions and the body gives us not only information about the problem, but also a road map to healing.
The bottom-up process takes into account that we have deeper parts or systems in the brain that are focused on survival. Protecting us from negative experiences by slowing us down in certain situations, however frustrating, navigating through life experiences and saving information from past events to make faster choices in future situations.
When these systems detect something that is interpreted as a danger (real or imagined), the brain's alarm system is activated, hijacking our "thinking brain" at lightning speed, putting it into offline mode before we realize it and preparing to fight, flee or freeze to protect ourselves. We are immersed in a cocktail of neuropeptides that create a rapid response to threats. Adrenaline and cortisol act like a tidal wave, hijacking our logical and rational thoughts and allowing our emotions to guide us into action. These systems remember negative experiences in an attempt to anticipate and prevent life's unexpected twists from catching us off guard. These systems also record memories of behaviors that created positive or unpleasant experiences, what we call emotions, and then guide us toward what is beneficial for our survival.
What many people don't realize is that stressful memories and negative life experiences pile up on top of each other, until we reach a point where we can't manage our thoughts, emotions and behaviors anymore.
Not everything is in your head
So when we have negative experiences, different parts of the brain can kick in and set up different strategies to help us cope. If a negative experience is stuck in the processing system, we need to help the system come into balance. The problem is usually not only in the head, but also in the body as emotions and physical sensations. Your whole system is affected. Some problems can therefore not be thought away, past or through. It is not so simple that thoughts create emotions and physical sensations in the body. Instead, there is a flow both from top to bottom and from bottom to top of the system. Thoughts can give rise to emotions, but also vice versa. Even the body can be reminded of something and send a warning signal up to the brain to act.
Instead, we work on the basis that when you have negative experiences, your whole system is affected. That the automatic defensive responses and reaction patterns that get stuck and seem impossible for you to sort out have less to do with the frontal parts of the brain that are linked to reason and intellect, and more with the deeper parts of the brain that control emotions, reactions and sensations in the body.
